Directors Needed
Huntsville Community Theatre is looking for directors for our 2012-13 Production Season.
Experience IS required to direct.
Tentative production months are: Sep 2012, Nov 2012, Feb 2013, April 2013, and a possible Summer Production in Jun 2013 (Summer production theme ideas: Children’s Theatre, Experimental Theatre, etc.).
Submission Deadline: January 31, 2012
While submissions will be accepted beyond this date, priority will be given to early submissions and those submitted by January 31st, if the proposal fulfill HCT’s Mission and needs for the upcoming season.
NOTE: Summer productions/projects are not a given.

The play selection process is explained in greater detail on that application.

To all directors: if your play is selected for our Season, you will be required to attend our Apr, 2012 Annual HCT Board Meeting to present a 5 minute presentation on your production to our Patron members.

Proposals For Directing Without A Proposed Project
So, perhaps you want to direct, but don’t really have a play in mind right now, or you are willing to direct a play that HCT’s Play Selection Committee has selected.
If so, please send us a letter of introduction and a resume (with references) so we can add you to our director database.
Deadline and submission options are as mentioned above.
Workshop Ideas
So, you’re not necessarily interested in directing right now, but you love the Theater Arts an would like to hold or submit an idea for a workshop that relates to theatre (late spring to early summer options only).
To head-up a Theater Workshop you must have experience in both theater production and in event organization. And, you must submit a resume with references to be considered to head a workshop.
A resume is not required to submit Workshop ideas.
You can submit your Workshop Proposal or idea through one of the submission options listed above.
Workshop proposals must also be submitted by January 31, 2012 for a possible, late-spring to early-summer 2013 Workshop.
NOTE: Late spring to early summer special productions and/or workshops are not a given event for HCT and are typically not part of HCT’s regular season package.
